Senior Race

Senior start 7.15 pm, registration from 6 pm  
 
BS (Category B, Short) Fell Race run under FRA rules
On gritstone moors rising to 400m above sea level
Navigational fell race, route unmarked
Distance 8.4km, climb 350m
Age on day of race
Minimum age 16yrs

Safety equipment
Bring FRA safety equipment to the race in case of very poor weather conditions. This should include wind/waterproof jacket and trousers, hat, gloves, compass, map, whistle and sustenance. As the race is held in May safety equipment is not generally required, however, you should be prepared in case the Organiser declares the carrying of safety equipment mandatory. In May the most probable bad weather is a thunderstorm, including lightening &/or heavy rain. Safety bearing is NORTH, down off the moor.

Parking
Please park in the Darwin Gardens car park, or only on the south side of Wells Road immediately adjacent to the event

Toilets
No toilets at the start / finish area
Nearest public toilets at White Wells 350m to south, or 650m to north in town centre car park (20p) until 6.30 pm

Fund-raising cake stall
Please bring your own safety pins and drinks
No dogs to accompany competitors during the race

Cancellation
In the event of severe weather or other circumstances forcing cancellation, this will be notified at the event on the evening and through the website
We will try to contact as many clubs as possible
